It never ends
So, I’ve mentioned before that my dad was hit by a truck in October, and he’s still healing from it. The insurance is not only fighting us about paying out for replacement services and whining about how many appointments he has, but they’ve hiked the rate of our home insurance as well. Between that and the social security cuts, we’re in a bad bad place right now.
It would seem that I had missed a step when setting up sales, in that I never remembered to weigh or measure any of the things I’m sending. This is now fixed, and I feel like a goober idiot.
The heatwave is fortunately relatively mild where I am currently, and I’ve been able to stay pretty cool and un-migrained for the most part. As long as I avoid the sun, I’m okay. The problem is, last year I took up fishing and it really limits how often I’m willing or even able to go. I found a beautiful spot about a half hour out last month, and I wound up with a sunburn almost entirely localized to the rectangle of flesh in the middle of my foot that my sandals showed. I caught some very nice bass, though.
I’m going to try to sell some things I have made that are not cat related, however I have some things also that I can post up. They’re basically little flax bags in the shape of a cat’s head, and you can put them in the microwave for a minute and they’ll hold heat. Each one is unique and hand-painted, and some of them even have lavender inside them. I’ll have to give them each a good smell to remember which is which!
I do hope that my next posting is a. sooner, b. has better news, and c. has some nice things that I’ve made to show for it. I’m very stressed out right now.
