Busy month

I’m admittedly not good at keeping up with this kind of thing, but it’s been a busy month! My father had an incident that reaffirmed his will to live, and he’s been putting his whole self into his therapy lately. He’s been getting noticeably stronger, and I’m very proud of him.

For myself, I tried to paint over a ceramic ashtray, but when it was finished and I tried to varnish it, but forgot it outside (never varnish inside!) and it rained and it was ruined. I was absolutely gutted, but this kind of thing happens I guess. I’ve been working on peeling the paint that was ruined, but at this point I’ll have to use a dremel and wire brush and well, I’m not sure where my dremel is.

Fortunately, I found another craft to occupy my time—I crocheted a vine and about 24 wisteria flowers. I hung it over the doorway to the living room, and they look fantastic. It really lends a touch of whimsy to the place. I have some fairy lights stored SOMEwhere that it’d be nice to hang up as well.

Furthermore, I’ve started making small soaps. I have molds that I had from a small foray into resin molding that are delightful cat shapes, and I realized that these would be a cute thing to sell as well. I’ll get some formulated and then post up on the website. The scent should be nice and subtle, as I am hypersensitive to scents. Hyperscentsitive.
